In MLA: Theirs, we focus on 'them,' specifically group dynamics, relational patterns, de escalating reactivity in yourself and others.
Anxiety is contagious in a group and often the most anxious person in the room has the most power. Anxiety doesn't always look like worry, it can show up in a group though: an outburst, or someone needing the last word, side conversations or passive aggressive relating.
This webinar will help you notice and name what is going on in a group: ways to de escalate anxiety, how to move through sabotage when bringing change, how relational anxiety is generated, and what to do when you or your team is 'stuck.'
Specifics:
- The contagious nature of anxiety in a group and why it always spreads.
- Tools to notice 'process' not just 'content' to improve healthy group dynamics.
- The 14 universal sources of relational anxiety. (We will briefly explain them all, but spend time with 4 or 5.)
- Tools to notice recurring, predictable patterns in any group of people.
- What 'differentiation' is and how to begin implementing it.
- The power tool of 'second order change' and when to use it and not use it.
- Every participant will get a full slide deck from the webinar and ongoing access to the video.
- Two sessions of Q&A throughout.
- Times to reflect and engage throughout the two hours.
- Be prepared for questions to guide you both during the webinar and to work on afterward.
This webinar has two options:
Option 1: Join Steve on an interactive zoom call on WED Sept 2nd, 930am MST as Steve covers the materials. Opportunity to share, chat with others, 'try on' some tools, time for Q&A, PLUS get on demand access to an unlisted youtube video covering these materials for future reference.
Option 2: Just pay for Youtube video access and watch on your own time. (Youtube video will be available by Sept 10.)
The Zoom call covers the same materials as the youtube video, but is for people who want interaction with Steve and others, opportunity for questions etc.
The Youtube is for people who want to watch on their own time and also for people on the Zoom call who want to access a reference video of the tools taught on the Zoom call.
*Because the nature of my material is vulnerable, out of respect for the Zoom attendees, I do not record the Zoom calls.
Both options are self contained. You can just do the zoom, or just do the youtube or you can interact on Zoom and then keep the youtube video handy for a reminder of tools.
Optional: Purchase a customized MLA journal and/or book. More information below.
